PING KARSTEN CO Anser Putter 85029 **RARE** 2nd Gen.
Up for sale is a very rare PING KARSTEN CO ANSER PUTTER. This is a 2nd generation Ping Anser putter, the first Anser putter made when the company changed its name from Ping Golf Clubs to Karsten Company hence “Karsten CO”. There were only around 4000 of these made. This putter has the same head shape as the uber rare Scottsdale Anser and feels as heavy or heavier at address, very awesome headweight. This is the first Anser putter to actually have the “Ping Anser” patent number appear on it. The original scottsdale’s which were made in 1967 didn’t have the pat number 207, 227 as it was not issued until 1968 which is when the Karsten Co Anser’s were being produced. This putter is in absolutely MINT conditions. Putter was purchased from a collector ( along with other PING putters – see other listings ). The putter is 35+” long. Topline is MINT with no sightline, heel and toe of club is excellent. This is the nicest Karsten Co I have ever seen, its like you turned back the clock to 1968 and walked into PING and paid $25.00 for a brand new Ping Karsten Co Anser. The putter has a new, non original shaft and new Ping grip. I guess the story is the shaft was broken and sent to Ping to replace it. This is “THE” putter that started it all, all those Scotty Cameron Newport Models…Yep, they copied the Anser mold. For anyone starting a Ping collection or for those that already have one, you must have a Karsten Co in your collection. Great putter to put on the course and game it. I hope you can appreciate not only this putter but this putter in this kind of condition. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AVAILABLE, EMAIL FOR AMOUNT. Paypal preferred. Item ships Priority Mail (2-3 business days) in NEW BOX. Golf Club Cavity reads: U.S. PAT. NO.D207227 KARSTEN COPHOENIX,ARIZ. 85029 OTHER PAT PEND. MADE IN USA
