The putter head is precision milled from 303 stainless steel with a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay that is adhered with screws and a hi-tech polymer. This milled GSS insert combined with the Studio Stainless Steel (SSS) putter head gives the Studio Style Newport perfect feedback, which is a combination of superior sound and feel. The Studio Style Newport 1.5 combines the proven performance of the Newport design with a short, flowing Santa Fe style neck for added toe flow. This combination promotes the opening and closing gate effect for players needing more toe flow. Scotty takes the refined Newport head, milled from 303 stainless, and adds a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay, the finest stainless available, giving the Studio Style Newport 1.5 its distinct, player-approved sound and feel. The inlay, adhered with screws, not glues or epoxy, is outlined with a sound dampening polymer and performs optimally under any extreme conditions. The Newport 1.5 design has been a Tour favorite since it was first introduced in ‘94 as the Classic 1.5. The Studio Style Newport 1.5 shares some of the same classic heritage.
