Brilliant balance with easy alignment. This is the review conducted by equip 2 golf in the USA. We reviewed the GEL Sapphire and Ruby putters. Both putters feature a rich black nickel finish. The Sapphire is a mallet style putter whereas the Ruby is similar to a classic heel toe weighted styled “Anser” putter. The GEL putters visually command your attention when you first see them. The insert is an ocean blue color that stands out immediately without serving as a distraction. An advantage of the insert that we noticed is at address, you can tell if the face is set up square by looking at the insert. If any of the insert is visible then the putter face is open. Another aspect of the putter that is noticeable is its weight. Each putter is made of 431 stainless steel with a head weight of 400 grams for the Sapphire and 360 grams for the Ruby. Each has a lie angle of 71 degrees and the loft is standard at 2 degrees. The heavier head weight provides a much smoother stroke and solid feel at impact than many lighter weight putters. We found these putters to be very forgiving with shots slightly off-center, something we attribute to the heavier head.
